The free tools: privacy by architecture
Our free tools (birth chart, panchang, muhurta windows, matching) run entirely in your browser. The birth details you enter are used for calculation on your own device and are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server. We cannot see them. Close the page and they are gone. This is not a policy promise that requires trust — it is how the software is built.
Email addresses
If you choose to leave your email (newsletter, chart summary, or interest in an offering), we use it to send you what you asked for and occasional VedicGPS updates. Unsubscribe anytime with one click or by writing to us. We do not sell, rent, or share email lists.
Readings, ceremonies & consultations
When you book a reading or ceremony, we collect what the service genuinely requires — typically your name, birth details, and intention. This information is used solely to perform and document your service, is shared only with the pundit(s) performing it, and is retained only as needed for your ongoing practice (for example, a held sankalpa). Your name and birth data are spoken in ceremony only with your consent, which we request explicitly at booking. You may ask us to delete your records at any time.
Payments
Payments are processed by dedicated payment providers; VedicGPS does not store your card details.
Analytics & cookies
If and when we measure site usage, it is minimal and privacy-respecting: aggregate page analytics and conversion events for our own offerings only. We do not run third-party ad trackers on tool pages where you enter birth data. Any analytics configuration is documented and can be disclosed on request.
Sensitive situations
Guidance clients are sometimes navigating difficulty. Our practitioners are trained to recommend appropriate professional support — medical, psychological, legal, or financial — whenever a situation calls for it. Vedic guidance accompanies such support; it never replaces it.
